Sr Director, Financial Reporting


About the role


The Sr. Director, Financial Reporting will work directly with the SVP Finance with regular interaction with the brand controllers, FP&A, treasury and the CFO. This position will manage the external financial reporting function of the individual brands and consolidation for bank and audit reporting purposes. The position will also be responsible for financial reporting of various partnership entities within the organization, assistance with corporate technical accounting matters and management of internal control documentation. This role will work with a financial reporting function currently in place and assist with transforming the team to a collaborative consolidated function that supports the KnitWell organization.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Manage a team responsible for aspects of the consolidation and financial reporting processes at both the brand and KnitWell consolidated level. · Preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows), maintenance of GAAP to adjusted EBITDA reconciliation and preparation of annual and interim financial statements and related footnotes. · Preparation of financial reports used for partnership tax returns for KnitWell entities.
  • Work independently on special projects and their impact to the Company including moderate to complex technical accounting transactions, implementation and migration of new systems
  • Assess and document the internal control environment (brand and consolidation level)
  • Manage and coordinate with external auditors as part of the annual financial audit process specifically focused on financial statement preparation and impairment assessments

You’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive industry with public accounting experience and CPA/MBA preferred
  • Hands-on experience with ERP Systems (Oracle, SAP), Hyperion. Auditboard and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Aptitude for learning new systems
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong managerial and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining upward communication
