Position Overview:
The impact you can have
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the respective Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as applicable to the specific job assignment
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with labor management standards as applicable to the specific job assignment
- Responsible for following all powered equipment Operator Rules & Requirements and for safe operation of powered equipment to put away and pull merchandise by move, lift, position and reposition of equipment
- Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and administer movement in accordance with Operator Rules
- Perform Daily Inspection of powered equipment for safety issues. Record and report issues to appropriate individuals
- Operate equipment within precise limits and standards of accuracy
- If required, lower self, using controlled descent mechanism, from operator cab to ground level using all appropriate safety procedures
- Work in a manner that ensures associate’s safety as well as the safety of fellow associates
- Ensure high quality standards of performance / accuracy that protect company assets (equipment) and achieve customer satisfaction
- Ensure adherence to all Fulfillment Center work rules, as well as HR and Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Report to work as scheduled and work required overtime as necessary
- Perform duties while exercising proper lifting and material handling techniques
- Ensure that all equipment necessary to operate is in proper working order at the start of and throughout all job assignments
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor or leadership
You’ll bring to the role
- Must be willing to or already have successfully completed Powered Equipment certification and demonstrate ability to safely operate powered equipment
- Ability to work at heights of up to 55 feet, from operator compartment and platform, using required safety equipment
- Must be able to meet physical demands involving frequent and extended periods of standing, lifting, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to understand RFID technology
- Basic reading, writing, math and PC skills
- Must be able to carry out verbal and/or written instructions
- Good organizing, communication and problem solving skills
- Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
