About the role

Ann Taylor & LOFT retail brands, which are supported by the Marketing Analytics Services (MAS) group is seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Data Analyst to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions and improve operation performance.  If you enjoy working with large data sets, a wide range of cross-functional partners and creating impactful insights, we want to hear from you!

This role will have a primary reporting relationship with the Sr. Manager of CRM Analytics and collaborative oversight from the Sr. Managers of Campaigns and Digital Analytics.

The impact you can have

Data analysis:

  • Demonstrates strong familiarity with statistical analysis and predictive modeling mythologies/concepts.

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Support decision-making findings in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders.

  • Develop code that delivers analytical results efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner with high quality

Team collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.  This interaction extends across various marketing and finance teams.

  • Develop and produce timely client reports that monitor changes in the client base.  Create and execute divisional reports to be generated monthly to establish trends and identify action items.

  • Provides actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions.

  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports.

  • Analyzes external and internal customer data using statistical analysis tools (SAS, SQL), and campaign management software tools.

  • Analyzes A/B and Multi-variate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations.

  • Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Strong curiosity and passion for data exploration and analytical work

  • Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail

You'll bring to the role

  • BS or degree with a Quantitative focus (match, statistics, or analytics) with business coursework focused on statistical theory, business context and technical skills (SQL, Python or R). 

  • Hands-on experience in statistical analysis like SAS, SQL or R is required.

  • 2 years of work experience in marketing research, statistical or data analysis (or academic equivalent)

  • Experience in advanced analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate and A/B testing, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness

  • Looking for candidates with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong grasp of statistics and mathematics, and ability to write SQL based code.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to share information so that co-workers and brand counterparts can act.
