The Design Intern assists the design team with the execution of seasonal collections, fabrications and colors that maintain the brand identity. The Design Intern will gain exposure to the development, concept, and design of the product line. Other responsibilities include preparing line review presentation materials, concept boarding, fabric and color boards and flat sketches.
Internship Qualifications
- A passion for hand illustration
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
- Exposure to tech packs and hand/computer flats
- An eye for trend, color, print and pattern
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Power Point
Program Details
The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2026 and 2027 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Haven Well Within, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr.
This internship position will be based out of our Ann Taylor & LOFT office location in New York, NY.
KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
