Assists the creation & ideation of new innovation for the Cacique Brand. Focus role is to execute future design ideation, customer needs & newness for the brand, maintaining margin requirements and completion of product. Communicates to vendors and other departments under the direction of the Senior Designer. Provides tactical, administrative and clerical support on a day-to-day basis.

Contributes to the creation of innovative and functional designs, collaborating with senior designer focused on aspects of fit, style, components and material innovation.
Support the design process by creating sketches, tech packs, and assist with fittings.
Research and assist creating new silhouettes for categories across Cacique areas.
Support design team by preparing necessary visual tools (i.e. sketches, competitor analysis reports, bi-yearly innovation ideation, presentation boards etc)
Email daily communication to internal team & external overseas partners offices as needed
Attend all Fit sessions pertaining to your category/categories
Partner and communicate with PD/TD & Merchant teams to ensure accurate translation of design intent & future ideation.
Partner with cross-functional team members to know and understand sales of your category and able to apply this sales knowledge to future development
Collaborate with Marketing & Merchant teams to support Go-to-market messaging, Collection lifestyle boards & new design interpretations.
Passionate to learn- Construction & fit methodologies to ensure a comfortable and well-fitting product as we implement new innovation & Franchise focused design development.
Maintaining Design Documentation-Keeping track of design specifications, Updating catalogues & tech packs as needed and other relevant documentation
You’ll bring to the role
1-2 years of experience in a design or product development related position for a fashion retailer.
Some background in fit, fabric development, finishes and construction details preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred.
Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point. Prior PLM, Adobe Illustrator experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Ability to build and sustain relationships quickly in fat pace environment.
