"This year, I volunteered at the local Gulf Coast Humane Society alongside other FAS associates, " says associate Katy B. "Being able to give back by helping organize the facilities and giving many belly rubs and playtime to some of the animals was so rewarding." During this event, associates assisted with the intake process for surrendered animals and helped organize linens and supplies. "In visiting the facilities, you really grasp just how important volunteer time and donations are to ensuring that these animals are cared for until their adoption day arrives." 

For many years, Chico's FAS has partnered with Habitat for Humanity. Through this partnership, associates volunteer their time to help build homes in our local community of Fort Myers, Florida. These efforts help families by providing strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. 

This year, we also partnered with GlamourGals, an organization that provides companionship to residents in senior living facilities, helping them feel a renewed sense of community. Associates like Christina J. volunteered to support this mission by writing friendly letters to seniors who may feel isolated living on their own. "Writing thoughtful notes to folks who don’t have access to a lot of community is such an easy way to connect with people who deserve to feel seen and important. It gives those who may feel lonely the chance to build new connections," Christina shared.

But it's not only during Volunteer Month that associates give back at Chico's FAS. Our Volunteer Council coordinates activities throughout the year for associates to donate their time and support causes that are close to their hearts.
