How will my skills help me in this position?

How have I added value in my previous roles?

What specific examples can I share?

Prepare Your Answers

Prepare a few stories that illustrate how your unique skills and experiences make you a great match for the role you've applied for.

Identify any key numbers or details that you can use to communicate your impact in previous roles.

Ask Questions

Prepare thoughtful questions about the position, team, or anything else you are genuinely curious about.

Use the interview to see if the position and brand are a fit for you.

Make A Plan

For on-site interviews, look up your route ahead of time (including parking).

Know how long it should take you to get there and add extra time for potential delays.

For virtual interviews, prepare your environment so the call is quiet and free of distractions. Make sure you are well-lit and your background is not distracting.

Make Your Best Impression

We embrace a polished business casual dress code. Bring your best professional self.

Give yourself a little extra time to arrive on-site or login early to the virtual call so you can get settled before the interview.

Test Your Technology

Some interviews are conducted virtually.

To set yourself up for success, we suggest downloading Microsoft Teams and testing your video & audio ahead of your virtual interview.

Make sure your WiFi connection is working as expected.

I began my journey with Talbots as a summer intern while attending Bryant University. After graduation, I was fortunate to step into a full-time role as a Recruiting Coordinator. Over the next two years, I grew into the role of HR Generalist, supporting both our corporate and distribution center teams.

After several years at Talbots, I made the intentional decision to broaden my HR experience beyond retail. I joined a Boston-based construction company as a People & Culture Specialist. It was during this time that I became certain I wanted to pursue a path as an HR Business Partner. When a Senior HRBP Specialist role opened at Talbots, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to build the experience I needed and was excited to return to the organization. I was then recruited by another company to serve as their HR Business Partner, where I led HR for their Boston office. In the summer of 2025, I was thrilled to be invited back to Talbots by my former HR leader. Today, I oversee several of our corporate teams based in the Hingham office, continuing to support leaders in building strong teams and helping employees grow in their careers.

As an HR Business Partner, I work closely with leaders to help them shape strong, effective teams. I coach managers through complex challenges, guide them in setting clear expectations, and ensure our people practices are both legally sound and people centric.

The most fulfilling part of being an HR Business Partner is walking alongside people through every stage of their journey. There's nothing more rewarding than watching someone grow—seeing how they evolve as professionals, take on new challenges, and build careers they’re proud of.

One of the most valuable pieces of career advice I’ve learned is the power of connectedness.  One of the most effective ways to deepen your network is by finding a mentor – someone who can offer perspective, challenge your thinking, and help you navigate your career with intention. If you’re unsure where to start, your HR Business Partner is a great resource to help you identify potential mentors and build those relationships. Careers are built through connection, and the relationships you invest in today often become the most meaningful sources of encouragement and opportunity down the road.
