Each April during National Volunteer Month, associates at our Home Offices volunteer their time with local organizations for community outreach projects. Associates across different teams and brands come together to make a difference through shared action.  

Associates organize volunteer events centered on the causes they are passionate about and have options to participate in activities planned by KnitWell's associate-led Volunteer Council. Over the years, associates have supported the communities where we live and work in various ways: from toy drives and beautifying public spaces to packing meal kits for families in need and beyond. 

Here's a snapshot of KnitWell's volunteer efforts so far in 2026: 

- Writing cards for seniors in care facilities with Glamour Gals.  

- Creating cozy blankets for children in foster care.  

- Donating plants and playing with rescue pups through RESCUEDohio. 

- Working shifts at the Dress for Success Columbus office to help empower women. 

- Caring for animals and supporting staff at the Gulf Coast Humane Society. 

- Assembling furniture at the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio. 

It’s not just about Volunteer Month. We believe in giving back all year round. With our Volunteer & Donation Match programs, every time associates donate time or money to an eligible organization, KnitWell will match associates’ charitable donations and volunteering up to $750/year — doubling their impact.
