KnitWell Group is excited to announce the rollout of enhanced benefits for parental leave, reinforcing our commitment to supporting growing families within our organization.

What is KnitWell’s maternity leave benefit?

Eligible full-time associates who meet the requirements of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) (one year of service and 1,250 hours worked in the previous 12 months) can access 12 weeks of fully paid maternity leave. This leave combines disability and baby bonding time, during one of life's most important moments. This new policy is in addition to any applicable state-sponsored family leave. 

What other types of support for family formation are available for associates?

In addition to maternity leave, all full-time associates have access to pregnancy and postpartum support through our partnership with Progyny. This benefit offers guidance, education, and care throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period, available regardless of enrollment in our medical plan.

Recognizing that family building can take diverse paths, Progeny also offers personalized assistance for associates exploring fertility, preservation, and treatment options.

Is adoption assistance available?

For those considering growing their family through adoption, KnitWell Group offers adoption assistance. Eligible full-time associates with one year of service can receive up to $10,000 in adoption assistance to cover qualifying expenses, available for up to two adoptions per family. 

What is KnitWell’s parent leave benefit?

KnitWell’s new parent leave benefit enables non-birthing parents and associates not eligible for FMLA to take up to 10 days (80 hours) of leave within the first 12 months following their child’s birth, adoption, or placement.
